Every month the Cockpit Theatre hosts a mini arts festival to showcase and
develop new talent. We've got theatre, film, music, cabaret and burlesque
- all squeezed into a week. It's an exciting, supportive, affordable
environment, for participants to try things out and take creative risks.
The season is now over.

THEATRE IN THE POUND:
POUND provides a platform for theatre makers to showcase or try out new
work. Audience members pay only £1 to watch the show, and play an
important part in developing the works by offering feedback. Now in its
seventh year, with up to six new 20 minute works every month, POUND is
the perfect evening to try something new – and it only costs a quid! |
COCKPIT MUSIC CULT:
A range of new sounds from exciting up-and-coming musicians.
Celebrating and
revelling
in unsigned talent, Cockpit Music Cult brings you the next big things,
with technical support from the next generation of sound, light and
video wizards. |
EMPERORS' NEW SHORTS:
An eclectic selection of short films and live music. Previous screenings
have included an Oscar-winning musical, 1950s public information films,
and cutting-edge animation, as well as new submissions from some of the
most dynamic film-makers from London and around the world. |
COCKSTOCKINGS:
The vaudevillian variety of
cabaret, in bed with the seductive sensuality of burlesque, Cockstockings
is a collage of theatrically staged production numbers, awash with a
beautiful cast of dancers, sultry vocalists, and scandalously sexy
choreographies. |
